Thank you Skyeking, I'm waiting for her to come in and then catch her. It's not a twisted neck, it's more like she is holding her head high and her neck very straight, I read somewhere someone call it "penguin posture", but yes, best to catch her.

'Penguin posture' tends to indicate an obstruction or discomfort in or below the throat. Most common causes of that would be a food item stuck in the throat, or canker.

 

Could you catch the bird? It is definitely in need of human intervention and may eventually sucumb. Twisted neck can be a symptom of paratyphoid which would require antibiotics, however, it is also a symptom of PMV which would require some supportive care. We can better help you determine what it might be when you catch it and are able to check it over thoroughly.

 

Thanks John, that's what I was thinking. She came over for her evening meal today and she seemed a lot better so I'll just monitor her and see how she goes.
